orientas.digital places great importance on protecting the privacy of its members. Personal data is treated confidentially and processed in accordance with the applicable Swiss data protection laws (revDSG) and – where applicable – the European Union's GDPR.
In connection with international inquiries or investigations, the principle of dual criminality applies: An act that is punishable abroad will only be prosecuted in Switzerland if it also constitutes a criminal offense under Swiss law.
When using our services, the following categories of data may be collected:
Data processing is carried out exclusively for the provision and administration of agreed-upon services and to fulfill legal obligations.
All data is stored exclusively on servers in Switzerland (Infomaniak Network SA). Data sovereignty remains entirely within Switzerland, meaning that all data processing is subject exclusively to Swiss data protection regulations. There is a strict separation between pseudonymized and personally identifiable data. Access is protected by a role-based system with two-factor authentication. Even authorized staff members of orientas.digital never gain insight into complete data connections – in particular, not into the direct mapping of customer data to pseudonymized identities.
Personal data is not disclosed to third parties, except:
Our system is designed to preserve data protection leeway in the best interest of our members.
We currently do not use any external web analytics or tracking services. For statistical evaluations, we exclusively use anonymized server log files (AWStats), which are not linked to personal data.
We reserve the right to use web analytics tools in the future to better understand user behavior on our website and improve our service. Should such a tool be implemented, we will update this privacy policy accordingly and – if legally required – obtain consent. The use of such tools will always be in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
We operate an in-house affiliate system to compensate for referrals. A session ID or cookie may be stored to identify the origin of an order. No profiling occurs, and no data is shared with third parties.
Users are solely responsible for the content they publish or upload through the service – particularly profile pictures, information in the imprint, and other self-recorded information. orientas.digital assumes no liability for the accuracy, legality, or completeness of this user-generated content. In particular, no guarantee is given that the information provided in the imprint complies with the legal requirements in the respective country of the user.
Members can choose optional additional functions when concluding a contract, e.g., immediate contract termination with complete and automated deletion of pseudonym-related data. This occurs within 24 hours, irrevocably and system-controlled. Restoration is technically impossible. After deletion, any external payment data may remain with the respective payment service providers, but can no longer be linked to pseudonymized content, as this separation has been permanently executed by the provider.
Members have the right at any time to access, correct, delete, restrict processing, and object to the processing of their data. Please send inquiries to: office@orientas.digital
Data is stored only as long as necessary for contract fulfillment or as required by law. Thereafter, automated deletion or legally compliant blocking takes place.
orientas.digital processes all data with the greatest possible care, according to the current state of technology, and in compliance with applicable data protection regulations. Nevertheless, delays, system malfunctions, or unintentional errors cannot be completely ruled out, particularly in automated or time-critical processes.
To the extent permitted by law, no liability is accepted for incorrect or delayed processing, technical failures, accidental data loss, or mistaken deletions. The responsibility for the correct and intended use of the service lies with the member.
We reserve the right to adapt this privacy policy as needed. Significant changes will be communicated to users by email and published on the website.
